Running several coding agents at once turns quickly into copy-pasting context between chats. Chef replaces that with a board: demands come in raw, a product-owner agent refines and splits them, and each subtask is picked up by the agent best suited to it.
Everything runs on your machine. Data lives in a local SQLite database, every task executes in its own git worktree, and only the prompts leave for the providers. Nothing starts in the background unless you turn it on.
Agents can debate an idea before a single card exists, consult each other mid-task, keep a shared project memory and drive their own browsers. Budgets, approvals and the final word stay with the person at the keyboard.
